Shaping our Future
- We believe that God is raising up an army of missionaries who are going to change the world. Their main mission would be to advance the kingdom of God on earth. Paul Cain, a great man of God had prophesied that the church would influence the world in the coming years.The local church we are part of, fits into a larger vision, put forth by the River of Life Ministries, under a banner called COMMISSION. Led for a long time by Guy Miller, it is now led by a team of about sixteen men of God. Though the local church impacts society locally, being part of a larger vision will enable us to have a global perspective. It is thus a time to move on for God’s kingdom. COMMISSION now has about 800 churches under its umbrella, in the UK, Spain, Portugal and India.The Global vision:
- To see THOUSANDS of Lives transformed
- Through HUNDREDS of Churches
- In TENS of Nations
(Matthew 28:19, 20) Therefore go and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things, whatever I commanded you. And, behold, I am with you all the days until the end of the world. Amen.
This is the great commission given by Jesus Himself and as Mary said to the servants at the wedding in Cana…
(John 2:5) His mother said to the servants, Whatever He says to you, do it.
If we follow this command, our lives will be transformed.
COMMISSION plans to spread the Good News through the following key strategies:
SEND: We will be motivated by love for God and will partner together as a family of Churches to generously and strategically share resources. Empowered by the Holy Spirit, we will send our members out to plant hundreds of Churches all over the world.
UNIFY: Since people and churches are so diverse, we will be united by our commitment to Jesus, to God given leadership and to each other. We will share values and a common mission, in an atmosphere of deep friendship, where we value, honour and celebrate each other.
RELEASE: We will pray for unlocking of gifts and abilities, so that each member can be released to serve their communities and influence the world around them. We will value everyone’s contribution to create a culture of empowerment and release leading to transformation in our communities.
EQUIP: All members will be provided with excellent teaching, training and Holy Spirit filled events, together with effective coaching and mentoring for churches and leaders. We will seek to equip everyone to think like Jesus, so their God-given destiny can be fulfilled.
WE ARE GOING TO SEE THIS HAPPEN THROUGH ONE NAME ONLY …..THE NAME OF JESUS
